Using a wire hanger is a genius no-cost wreath form as most of us already own one at home. I stopped at <a href=\"https:\/\/hip2save.com\/save-money-with\/dollar-tree\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"false noopener noreferrer\">Dollar Tree<\/a> to grab some ornaments and ended up buying 7 sleeves of the pretty gold and silver variety.<\/p>\n<p>This idea is easy to incorporate into your Christmas decor by picking the ball ornaments that best match your style!<\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-10385608\" src=\"http:\/\/www.artofproductions.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/making-a-wire-hanger-ornament-wreath-.jpg\" alt=\"making a wire hanger ornament wreath\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" \/><\/p>\n<div class=\"knockout default-blue\">\n<blockquote>\n<h2 class=\"intro lead\">Tips for making a DIY Christmas wreath using a wire hanger:<\/h2>\n<\/blockquote>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/shopstyle.it\/l\/bpmPq\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"sponsored noopener\">Plyers<\/a> will help untwist and twist the ends of the hanger easier. A set of <a href=\"https:\/\/shopstyle.it\/l\/bpmPi\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"sponsored noopener\">wire cutters<\/a> also makes it simple to cut the rounded hanger end easier too. If you don&rsquo;t have these on hand yet, these are great to have for crafting so you&rsquo;ll likely use them again!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>You can also cut the wire to make a shorter wreath if desired. Say if you don&rsquo;t have enough ornaments to make a full-sized wreath, one option is to cut the wire hanger a bit shorter.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>I used about 7 sleeves of ornaments from <a href=\"https:\/\/clicks.trx-hub.com\/xid\/hip2save_c4db4_hip2save?q=https%3A%2F%2Fshareasale.com%2Fr.cfm%3Fb%3D845001%26u%3D316239%26m%3D64888%26urllink%3Dhttps%253A%252F%252Fwww%252Edollartree%252Ecom%252F%26afftrack%3D&amp;p=https%3A%2F%2Fhip2save.com%2Fdiy%2Fchristmas-wreath-using-wire-hanger-dollar-tree-ornaments%2F&amp;event_type=click&amp;devicetype=desktop\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"sponsored noopener\">Dollar Tree<\/a>. Some of them disconnected from their tops and fell off, which is a bummer. It&rsquo;s helpful to have some <a href=\"https:\/\/clicks.trx-hub.com\/xid\/hip2save_c4db4_hip2save?q=https%3A%2F%2Fshareasale.com%2Fr.cfm%3Fb%3D845001%26u%3D316239%26m%3D64888%26urllink%3Dhttps%253A%252F%252Fwww%252Edollartree%252Ecom%252F%26afftrack%3D&amp;p=https%3A%2F%2Fhip2save.com%2Fdiy%2Fchristmas-wreath-using-wire-hanger-dollar-tree-ornaments%2F&amp;event_type=click&amp;devicetype=desktop\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"sponsored noopener\">hot glue and a glue gun<\/a> on hand to fix the ornaments that separate. You can of course use <a href=\"https:\/\/shopstyle.it\/l\/bpmO6\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"sponsored noopener\">shatterproof ball ornaments<\/a> from other big box stores, that will likely be a bit higher quality.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>I think it would be fun to make an ornament garland instead of a wreath using the same technique. Use pliers if needed. It helps to tape the first ornament to the hanger and then continue adding ornaments all the way around the hanger.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"cell small-12 large-6\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" src=\"http:\/\/www.artofproductions.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/threading-ornaments-on-a-wire-hanger-.jpg\" \/>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"grid-x\">\n<div class=\"cell small-12 large-6\">\n<p><span class=\"step\">3<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Twist the hanger back together using plyers and cut the round hook portion of the wire hanger off using wire cutters.
